St. Jude Thaddeus church Kumbalangad
The one and only parish in the name of St. Jude Thaddeus in Archdioceses of Thrissur.
Former days, this parish was under the parish of Kundannoor and our ancestors were walking 3-4 kms to their sacramental and liturgical needs.
Paul Kallookaran, gave the idea about the new church in Kumblangad because of the inconveniences of our parishioners. People accepted it whole heartedly and started their work seeking a suitable place. Then we got appropriate place. -
1967
Raising the idea of new church
Fr.Rocky Vazhappilly became the vicar of kundannoor. He enlightened the idea of the new church by raising the fund. Then Fr.Jacob Ainikkal came as the vicar. He is the founder father for the parish.
Kumblangad is a small village of poor families. therefore we couldn't realise the construction work with our effort. At that time we got a foreign sponser on the condition that the church must be in name of St.Jude Thaddeus, the Apostle. -
